Where Will it End- Musica for Africa

Where Will it End” is a song that includes a mix of cultures that have worked together to remember the terrible Massacre of Garissa of  April 2 (2015). Here, more than one hundred people were killed and injured.
They have been killed because of religious reasons, a real tragedy!

This song, therefore, is a hymn to remember those people who were young and full of aspirations.

There are two versions of “Where Will it End”.

The first version is sung by two African artists who belong to the reggae style: Thuthukani Cele (a South African native and former musical collaborator keyboardist of Lucky Dube) and Mermans Mosengo, who is from Congo and he is very famous because it belongs to the international group Playing for Change. Together they sang as soloist in English, along with the choir Wits of the University of Johannesburg (which is specialized in African tribal chants). They play a song created by Mariano, (who is an Italian song writer and producer) in the Zulu language.

While, in the second version of “Where Will it end”, there is voice collaboration of Clayton Bryant,(a New York singer) who has worked with many well-known artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Sting, Aretha Franklin, John Legend, Natalie Cole, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and so on. He played the song with the Soweto Gospel Choir: this group has sung with famous band like U2.

What about the lyrics?
The lyrics are written in English by the producer Nikki Turner. She has treated many problems in their songs, in this case about social and religious discriminations.

Accordingly, this project has taken the name of “Musica for Africa“, which has the aims of love and respect among people.
The song “Where Will it End” has been released in online stores and it is available since the 31st of March 2017. You may read the lyrics and listen the song because it can help us to think more about these brutal human tragedies that don’t have to happen again.

Lyrics of “Where Will it End”:

When all of your dreams have turned to nightmares
And all of your days seems dark as night
When you are the danger in every shadow
Then only you can make it right

Tell me how can you hate me
When you don’t know me
And who said you should hurt me
Before we’ve met
And tell me who was it told you
That I could never be your friend
So many lies

Where will it end
Time doesn’t care what road we walk down
Our choice the dark road or the light
We have such a tiny window to live our lives
And only we can make it right

Tell me how can you hate me
When you don’t know me
And who said you should kill me
Before we’ve met
And tell me who was it told you
That I could never be your friend
So many lies

Where will it end
